My 3 Go-to Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies are a great way to pack in the nutrients and make a quick, easy meal when you’re on the go.  I’ve been experimenting for months with many different concoctions. Here are what have landed as my top 3 favorites:

  • Peach Smoothie
    • 1 c frozen peaches
    • 1-2 T almond or cashew butter
    • 1 T local raw honey
    • 6 oz coconut milk or coconut water
    • 1 scoop protein powder (I like Ancient Nutrition Multi-Collagen Protein Powder.)
  • Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Smoothie
    • 1 small banana
    • 1-2 T almond or cashew butter
    • 1 tsp Chia Seeds
    • 1 tsp maca powder
    • 1 T cacao powder
    • 6-8 oz coconut milk or coconut water
    • 1 scoop multi-collagen protein powder
    • Add a few cubes of ice to make this cold!
  • Get Yo Greens Smoothie
    • 1 handful of spinach or kale
    • 1/2 avocado (makes smoothies ultra creamy)
    • 1 tsp maca powder
    • 1 c coconut water or coconut milk
    • 1 tsp chia seeds
    • 1 scoop multi-collagen protein powder
    • 4-5 chunks frozen pineapple

Enjoy! All of these can be catered to what you like. Experiment. You may find you like less or more of something. Try substituting different fruits. Out of honey? Use real maple syrup. Don’t have protein powder. Skip it! Cashew butter is smoother and sweeter than almond butter, so if the honey and cashew butter is too sweet for your palette, eliminate the honey or use honey and almond butter. It’s all about what you love and enjoy.

Now go blend, baby, blend!!!
