Oh February. The month of cupid, water babies, love and screeeeech…….more snow, cold, dry skin and that darn groundhog who, no matter if he sees his shadow or not, tells us spring is too far ahead to grasp. Never fear. I have a list of products that may help turn your winter blues into a ray of sunshine! Here we go. My February favorites:
- Magic Balm by Honest Beauty. I turned 40 this month, so on top of dry skin I’m really trying to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Not only does this come packaged beautifully, but it will help you achieve that dewy, summertime glow in the coldest winter days. Apply to your cheekbones, bridge of your nose and wherever else you see fit.
- L’Oreal Paris Pure-Clay Mask. Best charcoal mask ever and affordable! I know you’ve watched those scary charcoal mask videos where they peel off the mask and it looks dreadful and painful and makes you want to never try one. Tried and true here! I love this mask. Apply 3 times a week if you can find the time after your normal cleansing routine. Honestly, if I do this once a week, I’m happy. I like to do this at night. Apply with your fingertips, let sit for 10-15 minutes and wipe off with warm water and a towel. I was amazed at how soft and smooth my skin felt after this. Remember, it isn’t just about makeup. It’s about what lies underneath which will help your makeup do it’s job everyday. Beauty is skin deep! Take care of it!
- Hearth & Hand With Magnolia. It’s no secret I love all things Chip & Jo. Pair these two with Target and you have a win-win situation. They launched their brand with Target in November and I’ve slowly added a few things here and there to my home décor. Browse through their collection and Jo’s design tips online and you’ll feel immediate warmth and comfort.
- Biddeford Microplush Electric Throw. Need I say more? Soft, snuggly and instant warmth. My kids are often guilty of stealing this from me or cuddling up with me anytime I get out this super soft little treasure.
Hang in there fellow Ohioans! We’re halfway through February and only 33 days away from Spring!
